Senior Marine Engineer
Our client is looking to fill a position for a Chartered or near Chartered Engineer with experience in the Civil Engineering industry. The candidate will play a key role in supporting both their Marine and Civil Engineering teams on various projects within the ports, highways, flood defence, energy, and heritage sectors.
Ideally, candidates should possess a master’s degree that is accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers. However, our client can provide assistance and guidance to help candidates attain a Chartered status through their approved ICE training Scheme.

You will be a good fit for this role if:
- Chartership or near Chartership status
- Full clean UK driving license
- Strong attention to detail

- Structural design expertise and knowledge of relevant standards

- Proficiency in coordinating and delivering design drawings to clients
- Experience in leading teams and mentoring junior Engineers
- Technical design expertise using British, European, and International standards

Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Designing Civil Engineering structures
- Managing small to medium design projects from start to finish
- Ensuring compliance of project-related documentation with business management systems
- Mentoring junior Engineers and graduates
- Collaborating with Directors and clients on project matters
- Leading the development of fee proposals
- Monitoring projects to meet deadlines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards
- Providing monthly reports and fee forecasts

- Participation in community initiatives and technical charity work organized by the company
