Associate Architect – Palace of Westminster

Job Description

Zenlo Recruitment is currently working with an AJ-100 architecture firm that is seeking an Associate Architect to join their team on the Palace of Westminster project. They are architects, master planners, and heritage consultants with a strong commitment to sustainability.

You will be a good fit for this role if:

• Expertise in project delivery and management.
• Strong design, technical, and conservation skills backed by extensive experience.
• In-depth knowledge of UK Building and Planning regulations.
• Proven track record in all RIBA project stages.
• Excellent client-facing communication abilities.
• AABC accreditation is required, while RIBA SCA/CA will be considered.
• Familiarity with NEC4 contracts.
• Qualification or experience in an NEC Supervisor role is preferred.
• Proficiency in BIM and Revit is a plus.
• Well-organized, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to work and projects.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership experience managing small to medium-sized teams.
• Proven ability to ensure the financial success of projects, with strong commercial insights.
• Experience in business development and winning work, including bidding experience.

Responsibilities for this role include:

• Oversee projects from initial concept through to completion.
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities.
• Manage and mentor team members to foster their growth.
• Contribute to long-term strategies for heritage project initiatives.
• Participate in business development and build client relationships.
